Loaded with bold spices, tender turkey, and a colorful medley of beans, it’s comfort food with a vibrant twist. Bonus: it’s all made in one pot, leaving you with minimal mess and maximum flavor.

TO MAKE YOUR TURKEY CHILI
  1. Heat your olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the shallot and garlic. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring until they are softened.
  2. Add the ground turkey to the pot. Break it apart with a spoon as it cooks, letting it brown evenly, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle in the chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Stir everything together and let the spices toast for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add the salsa, black beans, kidney beans, and chicken broth. Mix.
  5. Turn your heat to high, bring the pot to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let the chili simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. OPTIONAL. If you want a creamier, thicker version, transfer 1/4 of your chili to a blender, blend it and mix it back in.
  7. Transfer chili to bowls, garnish with sliced avocado, lime, and cilantro leaves.
