This simple and delicious broccoli side dish is roasted with black garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper, and then covered with parmesan cheese. It’s so easy. It is so good. It will make you happily eat your greens—of that, I am sure.

TO MAKE YOUR ROASTED BROCCOLI
  1. Preheat your oven to 425º.
  2. Evenly spread your broccoli florets and pieces over your naked baking sheet.
  3. Liberally drizzle olive oil over all of your broccoli.
  4. Evenly distribute your black garlic cloves throughout your baking sheet.
  5. Season broccoli and garlic with salt and pepper.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes.
  7. Use your metal spatula to move your broccoli and garlic around.
  8. Place your butter cubes on top of broccoli pieces evenly throughout your baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 12 more minutes—or till you see blackening to your liking.
  10. Immediately after taking your broccoli out of the oven, sprinkle your parmesan over it. This will allow the parmesan to melt directly onto your broccoli.
  11. Serve hot and enjoy.
