CREAMY TURKEY BOLOGNESE PASTA SHELLS

QUICK AND EASY turkey bolognese.

This quick toss-together recipe is one you need on your weekly menu or as a pasta option when you’re hosting friends. It’s insanely quick to make and has that creamy meaty sauce that can only be described as addictive. It’s so good! It’s good for the kiddos too. Mine cleaned their plates and asked for more before I even made my way back to the kitchen. So, all in all, if you want a boss pasta dish, that takes very little energy to make, and is incredible, make this one.

Instructions

TO MAKE YOUR CREAMY TURKEY BOLOGNESE PASTA SHELLS
  1. In your stock pot, follow the box's instructions to cook your pasta shells. When they are done, pour them into your strainer in your sink and then spray cold water over them. This will keep them from continuing to cook and from sticking to each other as much. Set aside.
  2. In your small mixing bowl, fully mix together your garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Over high heat, add your ground turkey. Break it up into small crumble-sized pieces with your wooden spoon. Allow it to cook until the pink color has gone away—about 8 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle your spice mixture over your turkey. Mix it in fully. Let your turkey cook for 2 more minutes.
  5. Mix in your tomato sauce. Cook until it's warmed—about 2 minutes.
  6. Mix in 3/4 of your ricotta.
  7. Add your pasta into your sauce. Fold your sauce over it until your pasta is fully coated in your creamy and delicious sauce. Cook for 2 minutes to make sure you pasta is warmed again.
  8. Scoop into bowls.
  9. Top with spoonfuls of your remaining ricotta. Lightly season your ricotta with pepper.
  10. OPTIONAL: Sprinkle on fresh rosemary. You can absolutely chop them finely for a more incorporated feel.
  11. Eat and enjoy!

Notes

This recipe is just for the bolognese sauce. If you'd like it served over pasta, I highly recommend making your pasta at the same time as this sauce. The first step is to fill your stock pot with water, turn on your heat and then dive into this recipe while your water heats to a boil. Follow the instructions on your pasta box/bag from there.
