Freemans is the “Best brunch in the City” a friend of mine raved! Another told me that “the space is so cool, you have to check it out!”…that was enough to make me want to go…
So…I did! I went…and…I BROUGHT FRIENDS! What the perfect space it is for groups! They have fun little rooms if you want to go with larger groups—just look at their private events page slideshow. SO CUTE!
Well, the brunch IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! I was not steered wrong! When my friend Julie tasted my omelet, her exact words were “oh wow!”. The goat cheese mixed in with the mushrooms packed the perfect blast of flavor in each bite. SO INCREDIBLY YUMMY!
I even liked the pancakes! This is a biggie, unless they are muli-grain or whole wheat, I typically hate pancakes—I mean like have a visceral reaction to them, “hate”. I would say it’s a long story, but it’s not…you see, my babysitter around the time when I was ten-years-old, made me Bisquick pancakes every single morning for a year. I guess she figured that since she found something I liked once, that I would like it every. single. day. UGH! I may be a picky eater, but NOT THAT PICKY! Since then, white fluffy beautiful pancakes taste awful to me.
Not these, they were great! All of the dishes were! Not to mention, I LOVE the “rustic chic” presentation of it all. Some dishes are served on cutting boards, others in mini cast iron pans, and other on dishes.
Quote me: “FREEMANS IS AN INSANELY DELICIOUS BRUNCH IN A RUSTIC CHIC CABIN HIDDEN IN AN ALLEY WAY IN THE HEART OF NEW YORK CITY! I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU DON’T MISS IT!”
