 I LOVE  Uva. I have written about their brunch and had to go back for their dinner. It is incredible! I’ve literally been there three times in the last three weeks.

Their service is something to note…they are extremely kind, smiley, and happy that you are there. The manager will come chat with you and make sure that you feel welcome. Last night, we had a full conversation about how to clean the sauce off of your plate…the Italian term for this process is “scarpetta” which translates to “small shoe” in English.

Don’t let the homeyness confuse you, known for their great wines Uva is an upper east side hot spot. Make a reservation when you can!

More importantly, while the service is great, the environment is both chic and homey, it’s the FOOD that keeps me going back. Everything on the menu is simple and FULL OF FLAVOR.

When you go, it would be a crime if you didn’t order the Sheep’s Ricotta and Black Truffle Honey Bruschette. It is insanely delicious! I highly recommend it!

If you like Eggplant Parmigiano, DO get this one. It is one of the best I have ever had…and that’s saying a lot as it is my go-to Italian dish.
