YOU KNOW I'M IN LOVE WITH AN UPTOWN GIR…RESTAURANT

I hate to say it but when I think about the Upper West Side I think of homey restaurants that have been around forever and are super accessible for families with children (with exceptions like The Ribbon, Maison Pickle, and Jacob’s Pickle)—there's always a kids menu, crayons, and a lot of noise. I feel like you know what I'm talking about. This is not that. With big windows that let in the perfect amount of natural light, potted plants galore, black and white hexagonal floors, exposed brick walls, and a giant chalkboard that explains their focus on farm fresh ingredients, Marlow Bistro has that perfect almost movie-esque or a place that you’d find Phoebe on F.R.I.E.N.D.S. kind of ambiance that’s just for a ladies lunch date or even a date night out.

Now, here's where my initial feeling of “like” immediately transforms to “love”. You see, this quaint corner restaurant all the way up on 110th Street (far AF for almost everyone) serves up a hell of meal—I'm talking Executive Chef Zivko Radojcic is sending out Michelin level cuisine from  that draws from both Italian and Mediterranean influences and shows off his skill from his times at Jung Sik, Picholine, Alta, Eleven Madison Park, and Daniel (yeah, quite a resume). This is the kind of restaurant where every dish is the highlight on the menu. Loved the FARM POACHED EGGS with creamy polenta, roasted brussels sprouts, and bacon sauce. If you’re a pasta lover, the BUTTERNUT SQUASH GIRASOLI with wild mushrooms, rosemary, brown butter, and pecorino Romano is an absolute must! God, if you eat them, the SCALLOPS with pine nut puree, beet mustarda and parsnip confit are frickin’ heavenly.

Go for a date with a friend, potential love, love, parent—anyone! Just go.
