Ambiance

With multiple locations, I’m super happy to say that an Emmy Squared has opened up in my neighborhood—ANOTHER WIN FOR THE UPPER EAST SIDE! Finally there is a restaurant in that space that is going to last! Love it there. The white-washed brick walled restaurant with an awesome colorful painting of owner Emily Hyland’s cats is laden with oak wood tables, including one family style table that’s beyond perfect for parties. You know those pizza parties you’d have as a kid? DON’T STOP! While fab for kids, this is THE PERFECT PLACE to indulge your inner kid whose grown up and has a more sophisticated palette—think vodka sauce on a Detroit styled pizza—BOSS!

Food

Emmy Squared is best known for its Detroit styled pizzas—they are rectangular pizzas with thick doughy bases and crispy sides, aka. DELICIOUS! The topping choices on both the “RED” and “WHITE” sections on the menu (indicating whether or not they have sauce on the pizza) are super fun and thoughtful, dynamic, and well balance. Loved the architectural aesthetic of the Nashville hot chicken pizza!

For sure. It’s the Upper East Side and they’re open for lunch. Babies are welcome and highchairs are available!
