CHOCOLATE CHIP BANANA AND MARSHMALLOW CEREAL BARS

CHEERIO BARS…the bar the whole family will love!

FYI, these are so fun to make with your kids. It’s really hard to mess up. Which in all reality means, anyone can make them and everyone will love them.

Do note, that when finished, the texture of these bars allow them to bend in their center while still being on the harder side all around—which is great for taking on the go!

Another fun option is to cut them into bite sized squares. I did this and added them to a kid friendly cheeseboard. They were gone (then again, so was everything else on the cheeseboard).

Instructions

TO MAKE YOUR CEREAL BARS
  1. Preheat your oven to 350º.
  2. In your mixing bowl, use your fork to mash your bananas until you have an even mush.
  3. Add your marshmallow fluff, maple syrup, and vanilla. Mix until you have an evenly incorporated mixture.
  4. Use your spatula to fold in your chocolate chips.
  5. Use your spatula to fold in your Cheerios.
  6. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  7. Spread your Cheerio mixture into a 1/2 inch layer on your parchment paper lined baking sheet. Mine covered half of the baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Transfer to your cutting board. Use your chefs knife to cut it into bars. I recommend cutting it down the vertical middle first and then cutting horizontally every 2 inches.
  10. Let cool to room temperature. They will continue to harden as they sit.
  11. Eat and enjoy!
